About

Who am I?  I’m a self-published author from Chehalis, Washington.  Before switching gears to writing full time, I spent almost a decade in the United States Army and Washington Army National Guard.  That time included three tours in Iraq, some time in Germany, South Korea, and several bases and camps across the United States.  My career began in the stories 101st Airborne Division – something I am fiercely proud of.

I am officially 100% Service-Connected Disabled due to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, back and knee injuries, a permanent hernia, permanent hearing loss, and MTBIs (Mild Traumatic Brain Injury – Concussions) which left me with the tendency to get vicious headaches for no reason and causes some memory problems.

Besides writing, I am an avid PC gamer – with a focus on open world and role-playing games.  I love The Elder Scrolls series, Assassin’s Creed series, and other such open world games.  I also have been known to go on Minecraft binges.  My favorite style of game has always been the space simulation genre – to which I am looking forward to the release of Chris Roberts’s opus, Star Citizen, in 2014.

I also love learning and educating about all things.  You will find posts on a variety of subjects beyond just my writing, as I enjoy offering my opinion and arguing about it.  These little mini-articles serve two purposes: one, they improve my writing skills and two, they give me a chance to egg you, the reader, into an argument – or, of course, you can simply fluff my ego by agreeing with me.
